Villa location

Boho Bellissimo is located along a quiet road, just tucked away behind the village green in Nyuh Kuning, Ubud, central Bali. For those of you who are familiar with Ubud, we are just a 15 minute walk from the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary. Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is 34 kms from Nyuh Kuning and the transfer time by car is normally just over an hour, depending on the traffic. We can arrange airport transfers, private cars for transfers within Bali, and tours to make the most out of your time in beautiful Bali.

Getting around

If you've been to Bali before then you will know that the preferred way to get around is on a Scoopy/moped/Vespa/scooter. These are inexpensive and the most common mode of transport used - much faster on 2 wheels than 4! For guests wanting to hire a Scoopy, we can arrange this for you and have the bike/s delivered to Boho Bellissimo at your convenience. If you have a motor bike licence, please carry it with you when riding.

Have your own Eat - Pray - Love experience

In 2010, the movie 'Eat Pray Love' took Julia Robert's now infamous character Eliabeth Gilbert, to the humble Balinese village of Nyuh Kuning. The character had been on a journey of self-discovery, through the pleasures of Italian cuisine, the spiritual enlightenment of mystical India and finally,  embracing love in magical Bali.

For those who are returning to Ubud, you have already experienced the love of Bali. For the First-timers, open your hearts. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy the experience.

- EAT -

If you love your food, then you will be smitten with the abundance of little coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. We recommend kick starting your day with a walk along Jl. Nyuh Gading where you can enjoy your freshly brewed coffees, your choice of teas and juices made with fresh produce from the morning market. Freshly baked pastries, tasty avocado smash with poached eggs or the traditional local dish Nasi Goreng are just a few of our breakfast favourites. Warungs (traditional eateries) are dotted all around and the food is superb. Fresh, traditional and prepared in front of you. The aromas will have you salivating.

- LOVE -

Most Balinese people practice a form of Hinduism which is entwined with Buddhist and animistic beliefs.
In Bali, there is always has a cause for a celebration. Cultural parades and festivals are common in a island so steeped in tradition. The villages are encouraged to hold a cultural event to promoting their unique local culture.   If you would like to enter the temple, do please remember to be appropriately dressed.  The Balinese locals within Nyuh Kuning take great pride in decorating the entrances to their homes during these celebrations and participating in the parades through the village to Pura Puseh temple, next to the village green (only minutes from Boho Bellissimo). As you stroll around you will see every street lined with tall bamboo poles called penjor which are decorated with fruit, coconut leaves and flowers. These are set up at the right side at the entrance of every home as an expression of gratitude.
